'C' Team Win Again
The 'C' team scored their second successive win last night, beating Cheddleton 'C' by 2.5 - 1.5. We got off to a bad start, with Mycle falling for a cheap tactical trick very early on in his game on board 2 to put us 1-0 down. Lea put us level with a win on board 4, followed shortly afterwards with a win for Steve on board 1. Phil looked like he had some good king side pressure on board 3 but, as soon as he saw we were 2-1 up, he took the draw to ensure we won the match. We are now the early leaders in Division 3 but there is a long way to go. Next up for the 'C' team is an away match at Gables on the 6th November, where we will be up against some of our ex-players.
