Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. Chris Hankey and Dylan Whitney both played in this weekend's Blackpool Congress.
Chris finished joint 8th in his section with a score of 3.5/5. He says it should have been better, but his phone went off during one of his games, costing him him the game, in which he says he was winning. However, his score was enough to win him a £100 grading prize, so very well done to him.
Dylan finished joint 9th in his section, also with a score of 3.5/5.
