A 5 man contingent from Fenton played in the Crewe Congress last weekend. Congratulations go to Chris Hankey, who finished 7th in the Major Section, after being ranked 22nd, and won the Grading Prize. Steve and Dylan had a tournament to forget, finishing on 1.5 and 1 points respectively in the Intermediate Section. Jay and Lea both did well in the Minor Section. Jay finished 8th with 3/5 and Lea finished joint 11th with 2.5/5.
Rory Daniels from the Junior Chess Club did well to finish on 1.5/3 in the Minor Section. He did not play in the final 2 rounds on the Sunday as he was going on a school trip.
