Chris and Dylan were back on the Congress circuit again at the weekend, this time playing in the Birmingham Rapidplay Congress. Dylan played in the Intermediate Section and, despite being ranked 31 out of 37 entries, he finished joint 11th with a score of 4/7 - a brilliant performance. Chris, unfortunately, did not fare so well in the Major Section, finishing 26th out of 27 with a score of 1/7. Looks like the pupil will be surpassing the teacher in the not too distant future !!
Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children.
