Steve Emmerton played Black on Board 4 on Saturday and he offers his game for your scrutiny and enjoyment. I understand Steve was in severe time pressure when he offered the draw. In the final position White's only opportunity to press seems to lie in advancing his pawn to h5 but Black is well-placed to get sufficient counter-play.

Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club Home Page. We are in the process of moving venue and, from Monday 3rd April, you will find us at the Community Cafe within the old Fenton Town Hall in Albert Square, Fenton, ST4 3AF. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to Grandmaster. We meet on Monday evenings from 7:00 until 10:00. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. Older children (13+) MUST be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.
