The 'B' team made a great start to the season last night with a 3 - 1 win against Cheddleton 'E' in Division 3. Kasian had to drop out at the last minute but, fortunately, Petru was available to step in and was the first to finish with a win on board 1. This was closely followed by a win for Mike on board 4, to put us 2 - 0 up and needing only a draw from one of the other games to give us the points. Unfortunately Max fell foul of the clock, losing on time on board 2. However, Grenville was in an unassailable position on board 3 by this time and wrapped the match up with a win. Next week sees two more matches, with the 'B' team away against Crewe 'B' on Wednesday and the 'A' team away against Holmes Chapel Rooks on Thursday.
