Second Trophy In A Week
Fenton won their second trophy in the space of a week last night, beating Meir by 5 - 3 in the annual pre-season South Potteries Chess Challenge Cup match. The result wasn't entirely unexpected as Meir were outgraded on every board but the visitors put up a great fight. The score in the series now stands at 7 - 6 in Fenton's favour.
