Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 23:00. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. Glyn Does The Double
Many congratulations to Glyn Valentine on winning the Club Rapidplay Championship last night, with a score of 5/6, to go with the Club Championship he won earlier this year. The runner-up spot was shared by Rob, Ray, Danny and myself, with a score of 4/6, but nobody ever remembers who came second !!! Despite a couple of late withdrawals it was an excellent evening and our thanks go to Martyn Harris who did a terrific job of controlling the competition on the night.
