Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. 'A' Team Finally Taste Victory In 2014
The 'A' team scored their first win in Division 2 last night since the end of November 2013. A 3 - 2 victory against Holmes Chapel Knights didn't improve our league position but it did take us further away from the dreaded Wooden Spoon. Wins on boards 1 and 3 for Alex and myself put us in a commanding 2 - 0 lead but then losses by Mike and Stuart on boards 4 and 5 left the match level. However, Rob Taylor rose to the occasion on board 2 and his first league win of the season gave us the points. Rob would also like to point out that he has only lost one league this season !!
