Great Start For The 'A' Team In Division 2

The 'A' team got off to a great start in Division 2 last night with an unexpected 3 - 2 win at Alsager 'A', who are traditionally our bogey team. With both Rob Taylor and Ray Hyde unavailable Alex Richardson and Ernie Wilkinson were drafted into the team. Alex scored a predictable win on board 1 against an opponent graded 52 points lower than him. However, it was the middle order that carried the day, with draws by myself and Mike against much higher graded opponents, and a win for Jason, giving us the victory.
