Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. No Hopers Finish Season With A Draw
The 'C' team finished the season with a 2 - 2 draw at Holmes Chapel Pawns last night. It should really have been a win but I contrived to lose on time whilst 2 pawns up in an endgame where my opponent only had his King and 2 Bishops left on the board to my King, Knight, Bishop and 2 Pawns. Stuart lost on board 2 but Skippy and Steven both won on boards 3 and 4 respectively to give us a share of the points. You can click here to view the full match score card.
