Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. County Championship Quarter Finals
There were mixed fortunes for the 3 Staffs teams in the County Championship Quarter Finals yesterday. The Open and U140 teams both lost against Kent, whilst the U120 team progressed to the Semi Finals with a win against Hertfordshire. Fenton players played their part in all 3 matches, with Alex drawing on board 5 for the Open team against a player currently graded 213, Rob drawing on board 5 for the U140 team and Steve winning on board 1 for the U120 team.
