'B' Team Go 5 Points Clear At Top Of Division 4
The 'B' team travelled to Alsager 'C' last night, minus Rob Taylor our usual top board, and came away with a 3.5 - 0.5 win to open up a 5 point gap at the top of the table. We remain unbeaten this season and only have 5 matches left to play. Alsager's cause wasn't helped by defaulting on board 2 but, nonetheless, the rest of the team did enough to win the match anyway. Geoff proved a more than adequate substitute on board 1, drawing with an opponent graded 24 points higher than him. Mike and Ernie completed the rout with wins on boards 3 and 4.
