Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. 'D' Team Boost 'C' Team Title Hopes
The 'D' team gave the 'C' team's Division 4 title hopes a boost last night with a 3-1 win over 2nd placed Cheddleton 'F'. Draws on the top 2 boards for Derrick and Steve, coupled with wins on boards 3 and 4 for Neal and Geoff, secured the points for Fenton. This win cemented the 'D' team's 4th place in the league with 2 matches left to play. Unfortunately, Meir 'C' were unable to aid the 'C' team's cause as they were beaten 3-1 at home by Cheddleton 'E'. This was Cheddleton 'E's 2nd win in 4 days and sends them back to the top of Division 4, a point clear of the 'C' team and with a game in hand.
