Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. British Chess Championship 2012
The 2012 British Chess Championship is being held in North Shields between 22nd July and 4th August this year. Some of us will be going up there to watch one of the days play and we will probably be having an overnight stay. If anybody is interested in coming then please let me know and we can agree on a date that is convenient to the majority and make the necessary arrangements for car sharing and accommodation. Our very own Alex Richardson has qualified to take part and I'm sure he'll appreciate our moral support. If you've never been before I can highly recommend it.
