'C' Team Back To Winning Ways
The 'C' team got back to winning form, after drawing their last 2 matches, with a close fought 2.5 - 1.5 victory over Meir 'C' last night. Draws on Boards 1, 3 and 4 for Rob, Geoff and Derek were supplemented by another fine win for Neal Davies on Board 2. The 'C' team are now 3 points clear at the top of the table but the two Cheddleton teams have games in hand and won't be easily shaken off. Neal is turning out to be the form player of the season with 5 wins and 2 draws from his 7 matches, giving him a % score of 85.71%, just ahead of Mike Smith on 80%. In the process, Neal's Performance Grade has rocketed to 140 - 40 points higher than his official ECF Grade.
