Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. Fenton Digital Switchover
The Fenton Digital Switchover will take place on Monday 6th February. The club have now purchased 5 digital clocks and they will be used for the first time in the Division 2 home match between Fenton 'A' and Cheddleton 'B'. However, we will not yet be using the Fischer Timing system. Players can just get used to using a digital clock, rather than an analog one, for the rest of the season. We will introduce Fischer Timing for the Club Championship over the summer to get used to it and then start using it in the league next season.
