Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. 'B' Team Win At Newcastle
The 'B' team scored an excellent 3-1 win at Newcastle 'D' in Division 2 last night. The highlight of the evening was a great win for Rob Taylor on Board 1 against an opponent graded 36 points higher than him. You can scroll to the bottom of the page to view Rob's game. Geoff played yet another excellent game, winning fairly easily on Board 4. Draws on Boards 2 and 3 for Steve and Derrick completed the Fenton scores. It's becoming monotonous to keep saying this but Derrick is still unbeaten this season !! This result extended our lead at the top of Division 3 to 3 points, although this may change as 2nd placed Cheddleton 'D' were also playing away at Kidsgrove but this result is not in yet.
