Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 23:00. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. No Joy For The 'D' Team
Fenton 'D' played hosts to a much stronger Meir 'B' team in Division 4 last night. We were outgraded by a massive 123 points overall and went down by 2.5 - 1.5 - a very creditable performance given the grade difference. An excellent draw for Peter Tideswell on Board 2 against an opponent graded 47 points higher than him, coupled with a good win for Joe Orsolics on Board 3, were offset by losses on Boards 1 and 4 for Geoff Yates and John White.
