The 'B' team's winning run came to an abrupt halt last night when they were hammered 3.5 - 0.5 by a below strength Newcastle 'C' and, in the process, missed out on going to the top of the table. Petru suffered his first league loss of the season. Grenville had a winning position on board 3 but, with the team already 3-0 down and only a minute or so left on his clock, he agreed a draw. Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children.
