Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. Fenton 'A' Miss Out On Top Spot
Fenton 'A' missed out on the opportunity to go joint top of Division 3 when they were held to a 2-2 draw by bottom club Newcastle 'C' last night. Neal's unbeaten start to the season continued with a draw on Board 3 but, unfortunately, Rob's came to an end when he was beaten on Board 1. Yet another draw for me on Board 2, in a game that I had the chances to win, but Geoff saved the day with an easy win on Board 4. We are now up to joint 2nd in the table.
