The 'D' team lost 2.5- 1.5 against Meir on Tuesday evening, making it mathematically impossible to catch Crewe 'G' at the top of the table, and making Crewe 'G' the first Divisional Champions of the season. A draw for Phil on board 2 and a win for Ernie on board 3 were offset by losses on the top and bottom boards. Click here for the full match score card - https://ecflms.org.uk/lms/node/190151.

'B' Team Throw It Away
'A' Team Too Strong For Macclesfield
The 'A' team were too strong for bottom of the table Macclesfield last night. With Gerald, Petru and Kas all winning, to put us 3-0 up, Steve H took the draw on board 3 to complete a 3.5 - 0.5 win. We are now 3rd in the Division 1 table, 2 points behind joint leaders Alsager 'A' and Crewe 'A'. We have a game in hand of Alsager but, unfortunately, Crewe have 2 games in hand of them and a game in hand of us, making them clear favourites to retain the title.

'B' Team Share Points With Stafford
The 'B' team held a strong Stafford side to a 2-2 draw last night. With Petru still unwell, and Sean pulling out sick in the afternoon, we had to draft Mycle in from the 'C'.team to play on board 4. Unfortunately, he was outrated by over 140 points and we soon found ourselves 1-0 down. Kas had a brilliant 17 move win on board 2 to level the match, followed by draws on boards 1 and 3 from Steve H and Ray, to ensure we took a share of the points. This result leaves us, temporarily, at the top of the league, but the teams just below us have matches in hand, so that probably won't last too long.
