Fenton 'C' played out a 2-2 draw with Crewe 'F' in their final match of 2023 last night. Glyn, playing his first match of the season, had an evening to forget, as he suffered an early loss on board 1. Lea brought us level with a win on board 4 before we went 2-1 down as Mycle lost on board 3. However, an overwhelming kingside attack by Steve on board 2 resulted in a checkmate and gave us a share of the points. Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children.
