Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. Fenton Exit The Minor Cup
Fenton were knocked out of the Minor Cup by Crewe last night. Following a 2-2 draw, Crewe were declared the winners on board count and will now meet Meir in the Final. Jack Warren was a 'no show' and with no explanation, so we only had 3 players and were 1-0 down before we even started. Wins on boards 3 and 4 by Genaddy and Chris Brian were, unfortunately, not enough to offset a loss for Phil Smith on board 1 and the default on board 2.
