‘C’ Team Still Propping Up Division 3

The late withdrawal of Lea Podmore meant that we fielded a weaker than expected team against Kidsgrove last night. A 2.5 - 1.5 defeat left us rooted to the bottom of the table, whilst our opponents moved up to 2nd place. There was a good win for Matt on board 4 and a draw on board 1 for Steve but, unfortunately, there were losses on boards 2 and 3 for Mycle and Genaddy. This was our final league match of 2022, but there is a friendly match next Monday against the Potteries Junior Chess Club. The Club will then be closed until Monday 9th January, when the  ‘A’ team will be at home against Cheddleton ‘A’ in a Division 1 match.
