Despite being heavily outgraded by nearly 1700 points, Fenton put up a great fight against Crewe 'B', before going down by 3-1 last night in our first South Cheshire Shield match of the season. Our team consisted entirely of inexperienced players who had never been involved in competitive chess before, so very well done to them all, especially Jack Warren who won his game on board 4.
