There was a good turnout at last night's AGM. There were apologies for absence from Grenville and Julian. The salient points arising from the Meeting were as follows:
1. Ray and Robert were re-elected as Chairman and Secretary respectively.
2. Stuart was re-elected as Treasurer.
3. Steve was re-elected as Webmaster.
4. Team Captains to be decided after next week's NSDCA AGM.
5. The South Potteries Chess Challenge Cup match against Meir on 27th September will be restricted to players rated below 1700, in order to equalise the match.
6. The Club Rapidplay Championship will be a 6 round Swiss, probably played over 2 or 3 nights, and the Club Championship proper will be all-play-all. Both competitions to be completed by the end of July 2022. No start date for either has been decided yet.
7. Steve asked that people let him know asap whether or not they will be attending the Club Dinner on 25th November.
8. Ray and Stuart were nominated as our voting representatives at the forthcoming NSDCA AGM.
9. Members voted in favour of supporting both of the motions being put to the NSDCA AGM regarding the re-structuring of the League and the mandatory wearing of face masks during league matches.
