Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. 'C' Team Throw Away Another Match
Yet again the 'C' team threw away a match that they should have won easily. Glyn got us off to a good start with a straightforward win on board 1, followed by a draw from Derek on board 3. Chris then missed multiple opportunities to win his game on board 4 before losing on time for the second match running. Grenville was the exchange up and had a passed pawn on board 2 but contrived to mess up his endgame and had to settle for a draw. Click here for the match score card.
