The 'C' team recorded their second successive victory last night with a 3-1 win against Stafford 'B', lifting them off the bottom of the table for the first time this season. However, this may not last as they only have one more match left - away against top of the table Cheddleton 'F' - and the 2 teams below them have matches in hand.
Robert West got the team off to a great start with a win on board 3, followed by Chris taking a draw on board 4 in what was really a winning position. Kasian then followed this up with a brilliant checkmate on board 1, ensuring that we won the match. Last to finish was Derek, who was in terrible time trouble and missed a mate on the move, enabling his opponent to swindle a draw. Click here for the match score card.
