The 'A' team went back to the top of Division 2 with a 4.5 - 0.5 win against Macclesfield last night. We were helped by the fact that Macclesfield defaulted a board. However, Petru was unstoppable on board 1 and won his game in less than 30 minutes, putting us 2-0 up. I agreed a draw, in what turned out to be a winning endgame on board 4, to ensure that we would take at least a point from the match. Kasian then got an outrageous win on board 3 to give us the match. I will try to publish this game on the website in the next day or so. Glyn then finished off the evening with a fine win on board 2. Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children.
