Ray Saves Us From A Whitewash
Our first foray into the Open Cup last night against Cheddleton culminated in the spanking we were expecting. The hoped for giant killing was never on the cards and we went down by 5.5 - 0.5. Only a draw from Ray on board 1, against an opponent graded 203, saved us from a whitewash. However, given the quality of the opposition this result wasn't entirely unexpected. It wasn't totally one sided though as most games lasted until right near the end of the evening. Despite the result it was an enjoyable experience and we'll be back again next year !!
