Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 23:00. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. 'D' Team Beaten Again
The 'D' team suffered their 3rd defeat in their last 4 matches earlier this evening. This time it was a 3.5 - 0.5 loss to Newcastle 'F', a result that finally ended our chances of winning the Division 5 title. Whatever happens in their final match on Monday they cannot now catch Meir 'D', who are Champions for the 3rd year in a row. A draw from Ernie on board 3 was all we could manage last night.
