Annual General Meeting

The AGM is being held on Monday 7th September @ 8:00. I hope that as many of you as possible are able to attend.

2015/2016 Fixtures

The Club Calendar has now been updated with all of our fixtures for the coming season. Our first fixture is a Division 4 match between our 'B' and 'C' teams on the 5th October. The 'A' team kick off on the 12th October with a Division 2 match at home to Cheddleton 'C'.  The 'D' team start on the 19th October with a Division 5 match at Meir 'D'

Annual Subscriptions

Please note that your Annual Subscription was due on 1st August. If you have not already done so, can you please pay Stuart immediately as we need to register you with the ECF and we cannot do this until you have paid your subscription.

Fenton League Entries 20125/2016

Following a discussion at the club last night it was decided that the 'A' team will move up to Division 2, the 'B' and 'C' teams will both play in Division 4 and the 'D' team will play in Division 5. This promises to be a challenging season for the club, with both the 'A' and 'C' teams moving up a Division. We have had to make this decision before our AGM as entries need to be in now.

Grades Updated

The Membership List has been updated to reflect the new July grades. It may need to be updated once more as soon as the revised August Grading List is published, and it is this August list that will be used for the coming season.

Up The Hammers !!!

The mighty Hammers are indeed the Fenton of the Premiership. The spanking of Arsenal followed by the humiliation of the Potters made it a Sunday to savour !!

NSDCA Cup Draw

The draw for the various NSDCA Cup competitions has now been made. We will be away to Crewe in the Preliminary Round of the Major (U150) Cup and away to Alsager in the Preliminary Round of the Perry (U110) Trophy. We will have white on the odd numbered boards in both matches. The dates for these matches will be announced shortly. You can click here to view the full draw for all of the Cup competitions.

Much Better Day For Rob

After a shaky start in the Weekend U150 tournament in the British Championships, Rob Taylor had a much better final day, winning both of his matches to finish on 3/5. We think that this makes him joint 4th but the final tables hadn't been published at the time of writing this. As Rob pointed out to me twice today "Form is temporary - class is permanent".

Disappointing Start For Rob

It was a disappointing start for Rob at the British Championships this weekend. He lost his opening match in the Weekend U150 tournament last night and drew both of his matches today, so goes into his final two matches tomorrow with a score of 1/3.
