British Championships
After the first two rounds of the British Championships I am sitting in joint 8th position in the Under 140 Championship with a score of 1.5. I should be reasonably happy with this but I'm not. After an extremely hard fought match yesterday morning, against one of the lowest graded players in the tournament, I came away with a win but it took over three and a half hours. I was then paired with the joint highest graded player this morning but had a much better time of it, coming away with a draw. However, the reason that I'm disappointed is because I offered him a draw, which he almost bit my hand off to take, before realising that I had overlooked a winning move. You can click here to view the draw for the 3rd round tomorrow morning.
