South Potteries Rapidplay Championship
At the last AGM it was suggested that one of the events we could run this year would be an all-day rapidplay event on a Sunday. This is now being organised and will be known as the South Potteries Rapidplay Championship. Entries will be restricted to 20 and people from other clubs have been invited to enter. It is being held on Sunday 28th June, starting at 10:30 and running until about 5:00. There is an entry fee of £3 and there will be a trophy and a medal awarded to the winner, the trophy to be held for one year. All games will be graded and the Tournament Controller will be ECF Arbiter Matthew Carr. The tournament will take the form of a 5 round Swiss competition with each player having 30 minutes on the clock. We will not be using Fischer timing so there will be no 10 second increments.
