The Club Rapidplay Championship last night was a resounding success, with 16 players entering. Many congratulations to Ray Hyde on winning the competition with a perfect score of 5/5. 2nd place went to Brian Birchall on 4/5 and 3rd place to Rob Taylor on 3.5/5. The Dunce's Prize was shared by Robert West, Ernie Wilkinson and Chris Brian, all with 1/5.
Thanks go to Alex Richardson, who so ably controlled the competition, and to Pete Tideswell for providing a buffet.
The trophy and winners medal will be presented at the AGM on the 7th September.
Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children.
