How The Mighty Are Fallen
It was an embarrassing evening for the Chief Executive last night. Playing with White against Joe Orsolics in the 1st Round of the Club Championship I blundered a Knight for a Pawn and looked on the verge of losing. Joe couldn't believe his luck but, fortunately for me, he didn't have the nerve to go for the win and settled for a draw by perpetual check. All of this was much to the amusement of everybody else at the club. I then followed this up by losing a friendly to young Edward Brian, providing more merriment all round !!!
