Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 23:00. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. Four In A Row For the 'A' Team
The 'A' team scored their 4th successive win, and the second this week, with a 3.5 - 1.5 victory at Cheddleton 'D' in Division 2. This cements our mid-table position after a poor start to the season. Excellent wins for Alex and Ray on boards 1 and 2 were supplemented by draws for myself, Mike and Geoff on boards 3, 4 and 5 - all against significantly higher graded opposition. We now look forward to welcoming bottom club Alsager on Monday and won't be taking anything for granted as they are traditionally our bogey team.
