Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. Fenton Scrape Into Final Of Perry Trophy
Fenton just managed to scrape into the Perry Trophy Final on board count following a 2 - 2 draw against Newcastle last night. There were draws on the top two boards for Derek and Geoff but it was Ernie who saw us into the Final with a win on board 3, despite being a piece and a pawn down early in the game. This was Ernie's 15th win in 21 matches this season - more than anybody else has managed to play. He has drawn 2 of his other matches and only lost 4 - a tremendous achievement.
