Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 23:00. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. Bully Boys Batter Alsager
The Fenton Bully Boys handed out a 4 - 0 pasting to Alsager 'C' in Division 4 last night. Alsager are traditionally our bogey team but it wasn't to be on this occasion, with Fenton registering their 6th win from 6 matches to continue to lead the way at the top of the table. Derek had a quick win on board 4, closely followed by Ernie on board 3 - his 2nd win in 2 days. Ernie now has a performance score of just over 71% from 14 matches. This is bettered only by Steven Walley who has 87.5% but from only 4 matches. Boards 1 and 2 lasted slightly longer but wins from myself on board 1 and Mike on board 2 brought proceedings to a conclusion before 9:30. You can click here to view the full match scorecard.
