Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. Alex Richardson Faces Grandmaster In 1st Round At Torquay
Alex has been drawn to play as White against Grandmaster David Howell in the 1st round of the British Championships starting in Torquay today. He could hardly have had a more difficult start against a player who outgrades him by 490 points in the FIDE rankings and who is the 2nd highest graded player in the tournament.
