Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. Rob Taylor Wins Club Championship
Congratulations to Rob Taylor on winning the Club Championship. Rob beat Ernie last night to take the title with an unassailable score of 5.5/6. Ernie could have ensured himself a share of the title had he managed to beat Rob. However, he was obviously over-excited by the draw he managed against Rob last week in a friendly match and the occasion went to his head. Mike beat Stuart to move into 2nd place with a total of 4/6. Geoff beat John - a result that gives the John the Wooden Spoon with a final total of 1/6 - well done John !! There are still 2 matches left to play - Joe against Neal and myself against Robert West.
