Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. A Good Night In Division 3 For Fenton
And we weren't even playing !!! Cheddleton 'D' were beaten 3 - 1 by Meir 'A' and, in the process, used up one of their matches in hand of us. They still have 2 matches in hand but are 7 points behind. 3rd placed Cheddleton 'E' and 2nd placed Stafford 'B' drew 2 - 2 - a result that neither team could afford. Cheddleton 'E' have now played the same number of matches as us but are 5 points behind. Stafford still have a match in hand of us but are 3 points behind. What all of this means is that our fate is in our own hands - if we win both of our remaining matches we can't be caught.
