Division 3 Title Hopes Take A Knock
The 'A' team suffered a major setback in Division 3 last night, going down by 2.5 - 1.5 at home to Alsager 'B', the second time they have beaten us this season. We are still in joint 3rd position but have now used up our game in hand of the other teams around us. We still have a game in hand of the leaders, Cheddleton 'E', but are 4 points adrift of them. Draws on Boards 1, 2 and 3 by Rob, Steve and Neal were offset by a loss on Board 4 when Geoff kindly donated his Queen again - the second time he has done it against the same opponent this season.
