We had 2 matches in Division 4 last night. The 'B' team were away to Meir 'B' and came away with an excellent 2.5 - 1.5 win to lift themselves up to joint 2nd in the table, just a point behind Cheddleton 'F' but with a game in hand. Wins on the top 2 boards for Rob and Geoff (despite Geoff going to the wrong venue to start with !!), plus a draw for Mike on Board 4, secured the points. The 'C' team were at home to Newcastle 'E' in a match between 2 of the bottom 3 clubs and scored a comfortable 3.5 - 0.5 win to move further away from the bottom of the table. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children.
