The 'C' team picked up their first point of the season in Division 4 last night with a 2-2 draw against a stronger Alsager 'D' team. With a bit of luck we might actually have won the match because both Jason and Robert had superior positions at the end but were unable to convert them into wins.
The 'A' team welcomed Derrick back for his first match of the season in Division 3 against Meir' A'. Unfortunately it wasn't the return he hoped for as he lost his game on Board 1 and the team went down by 3 - 1. It is now looking like a big ask for us to retain the title we won last year as we have now lost 2 of our opening 3 matches.
