In Division 2, the 'A' team were well beaten 3.5 - 1.5 by Cheddleton 'B'. Alex Richardson won his game on Board 1 and Mike Smith scored a very creditable draw on Board 5 against an opponent graded 27 points higher than him to complete the Fenton scoring.
In Division 4, a lack of players meant that the 'D' team had to field a weaker side than usual and ended up on the wrong side of a 3-1 defeat. There were two highlights though when Stuart, playing on Board 1, scored a draw against an opponent graded 47 points higher than him and Pete, playing on Board 3, scored a draw against an opponent graded 20 points higher than him. This completes the 'D' team's fixtures for the season.
