Fenton Fail To Save The U140's
The Fenton contingent of Steve, Rob, Derrick and Stuart failed to save the County U140 team from a narrow 8.5 - 7.5 defeat against Shropshire on Saturday. Stuart's opponent defaulted so that gave him his first win of the season !! Derrick and Rob, playing on Boards 6 and 8 respectively, both drew their games. However, I'm ashamed to say that my performance on Board 9 cost us victory. I was a Knight up and heading for an easy win when I got too cocky and made the only move on the board that could lose me the game. You can see this debacle on the Members Games page.
