Welcome to the Fenton Chess Club website. We are based at the Longton Snooker & Pool Club, 37 Normacot Road, Longton, ST3 1PL. We welcome players of all abilities, from beginner to experienced player. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 19:30 until 22:30. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate young children. Change To Match Score
It has just been pointed out to me by Martyn Harris, the League Results Secretary, that our 'C' team in last night's match against Cheddleton 'F' exceeded the grade limit for the Division by 5 points. Accordingly we are obliged to treat the bottom board as a default and, therefore, the match result changes to 3-1 to Cheddleton 'F'. This highlights the importance of team Captains checking everybody's grading when selecting their team, particularly those players who started the season with an estimated grade and whose grade would have changed in January. In this instance, Jason and Mike started the season with estimated grades of 60 but are now well over 100.
