Both the 'A' and 'D' teams were in action on Wednesday evening but neither of them were unable to conjure up a win.
A creditable 2.5 - 2.5 draw for the 'A' team at Holmes Chapel Rooks in Division 2 lifted them up to halfway in the table. Wins on Boards 2 and 5 for Derrick and Geoff, plus a draw for Rob on Board 1, made up the Fenton score. Steve and Stuart on Boards 2 and 4 were unable to contribute to the total. Derrick remains unbeaten this season.
A 2.5 - 1.5 defeat for the 'C' team at Newcastle 'E' also saw the end of Joe Orsolics' unbeaten start to the season. Draws on Boards 1,2 and 4 for Derek, Pete and John were the Fenton scorers.
